For Arguers (bookmarklets)
You're browsing the internet, and you find a blog post/news article/video/etc. that tickles your arguing gene. You could use the site's comment section, but what you have to say will likely be lost in the mindless muck that is the majority of online discussion. Instead, add the ArgueThis bookmarklet below, and you could instantly engage in high quality arguing with the Argumentum community.
Firefox, Safari: Drag Argue This to your Bookmarks Toolbar
Internet Explorer: Right Click on Argue This and click [Add to Favorites]
For Publishers (buttons)
You're thinking.. not another social bookmarking button! Well, Argumentum is not a social bookmarking site, and ArgueThis is no ordinary bookmarking button. While, like Digg, reddit etc, it will help get your content noticed, that is not the purpose of our button. Just as Argumentum aims to improve the sorry state of internet arguing, the ArgueThis button aims to bring our functionality to your content.
Upon clicking the button, users can reference your content in their arguments, or if it's not yet done, summarize your content into its own argument (you can also do this yourself). The more interesting, provocative and engaging your content, the more arguments that can be created around it: there is no arbitrary limit. Arguments linked your content will be ranked on the activity they generate, not on user voting that tends to promote certain political/topical/popular content at the expense of quality. To see the quality of Argumentum arguments, simply go to http://arg.umentum.com/ and read some for yourself. If you're satisfied, use the code below to get the button.
