Argumentum is a new way to argue with your friends, enemies and the rest of the world wide web. It's based on concepts in argumentation theory, and common sense. It's linked with services you already use (google, blogger, facebook and twitter) so you don't have to register an account to start arguing.
Over 12000 arguers are currently engaged in hundreds of fiery debates, on topics ranging from gravely serious to ludicrously frivolous ( i.e. fun ). There are 4 debate types: propositions, questions, top five lists and reviews. Responses to debate topics are called arguments, and are attached to an arguer's position on the topic. Arguers are ranked by how well their arguments score.
Arguments are scored based on the quantity/quality of responses, and on credit rewards that are given both by Argumentum and our arguers. When you first log-in, you start with 100 credits which you can use to reward compelling arguments, or sponsor debate contests. There's a lot more.. Argumentum aims to be, quite simply, the best place to argue online. Feel free to browse around and get the hang of things.
